The Polar 12 consists of a subwoofer and two column-shaped elements. The birch subwoofer surrounds are not just aesthetically pleasing; the cabinet is acoustically designed and dimensioned to deliver excellent audio results in combination with the specially developed 12" driver with long-excursion voice coil. Driven by a 2,000-watt peak amplifier, this combination delivers a very extended low-frequency response, maintaining a very balanced sound even at high levels.

Pure HK sound

The column consists of two parts for easy transport. The upper part is equipped with six high-performance 3" midrange drivers and a 1" low-distortion tweeter. This allows the Polar 12 to deliver a balanced and extremely natural sound, from low frequencies up to 20 kHz with remarkable definition. The column is designed to project sound with a horizontal dispersion of 120° and minimize feedback, giving users the freedom to choose the positioning of the system in the room. Placed behind the speaker or artist, the Polar 12 can also be used as a stage monitor to replace monitors in many applications.

An installation that always lives up to expectations

The EAS connection system developed specifically for the Polar series connects the three elements that make up the system. Simple, safe and robust, this set of intelligent couplers does not require any cables. If the system is installed on a raised stage, adjusting it is not a problem since it is possible to position it at the right height by simply leaving the lower part of the column - which is just a spacer - outside the stack.

An ultra-mobile 4-way sound system

To receive external audio signals, HK Audio has integrated a four-channel mixer into the Polar 12. Housed on the top of the subwoofer, this mixer has two mic/line inputs, an instrument input such as an acoustic guitar, and an auxiliary input for a media player. Users wishing to "stream" their music to the system can use the Polar 12's integrated Bluetooth 5.0 technology, which offers four times the range of Bluetooth 4.0. Various audio settings are present and directly accessible on the control panel. They can be stored using five presets, which can be easily accessed via an integrated high-contrast display with automatic dimming.

Convenient transportation

To ensure the Polar 12 can enjoy many hours of safe transport, it comes with its padded storage bag for the column elements and an equally padded cover to protect the subwoofer during transport.
