Hardly any other synthesizer enjoys such legendary status as the ARP 2600. Its unique sound, which has been immortalized in countless music productions, film scores, TV production soundtracks, and video games since its introduction in the 1970s, remains an indispensable part of the music world today. Now this legendary synthesizer is back—as a compact desktop module, manufactured with the utmost care in Japan. Inside, the same analog circuits and components that were used in the new edition ARP 2600 FS are at work, bringing the authentic ARP sound into the modern era. Even the analog spring reverb and internal monitor speakers have not fallen victim to the reduction to approximately 60% of the original size and continue to perform their duties in the ARP 2600 M desktop module. In addition, the semi-modular analog synth has been equipped with several additional features that facilitate integration into modern recording and live setups. The module features both filter types from the different versions of the original ARP 2600, USB-A and USB-B ports for direct connection of USB keyboards or USB MIDI-compatible devices, a DIN MIDI input, improved faders, and balanced jack outputs (L/R). The control voltage for triggering the ADSR envelope has been adapted to today's standards so that the synth can be easily integrated into existing setups with, for example, devices from the volca series or Eurorack modules.
