De Nord Electro is een licht en compact instrument met een uitgebreid en zeer realistisch pallet aan elektromechanishe keyboard klanken.
Sinds versie 3 zorgt Nord ervoor dat u uw eigen sound kan uploaden evenals alle sounds die je kan terugvinden in de Nord Sample Library waaronder bijvoorbeeld een bank met de sounds van de bekende Mellotrons en Chamberlins.

Seamless transition.

Always listening to its users, Nord has responded to their expectations by adding this functionality directly from its big brother, the Nord Stage 3. From now on, it becomes possible to switch from one sound to another without causing a cut between the two programs, whatever the type of emulation or the combination used, which proves to be particularly practical on stage.

Sound layering and advanced split function.

This is perhaps the feature that led to the nickname of this Nord Electro: "Baby Nord Stage"! Indeed, you can now play the 3 sound engines simultaneously (organ, piano and sample synth) and assign them to the entire keyboard or to one of the zones defined by the split point. The system for assigning modules to zones is, for its part, directly derived from the Nord Stage. In addition, it is possible to configure a crossfade between the sound modules at the split point, to obtain a smoother transition between the two playing zones. What more could you ask for?

Even more memory and extended polyphony.

The piano and sample synth sections have seen their polyphony increase compared to the previous version, just like the memory allocated to samples in flash ROM which also increases. This allows the storage of more samples or larger samples. In addition, the organ section sees the appearance of 2 liturgical models. On the other hand, it was becoming difficult to offer more polyphony since this section offers… total polyphony! And this, since the very first Nord Electro in 2001.
