De MT 100, eindelijk is hij er ! Al het geweld en meer dat je nodig hebt on stage, in de studio of thuis.

The result of many years of R&D and road-testing, the MT 100 is a professional amp for serious musicians. Built on a robust chassis, the MT 100 features custom transformers and three independent channels with identical controls but truly unique voices.

Each of the MT 100’s three channels is built from its own unique circuit with

dedicated preamp tubes to ensure the voicing of each channel is exactly as intended. The Clean channel (like the MT 15) stays pristine and chimey – try it with split or single coils to hear it sing. The Gain channel (also like the MT 15) gets lush heavy tones with massive bass response that is never muddy.

And, the added Overdrive channel (modeled after one of Tremonti’s favorite personal amps) brings an incredibly flexible gain structure and musical midrange response to this already versatile amp platform. Select your channel on the amp face or via the included footswitch – both feature matching channel lights so you’ll never lose your place. All three channels share the same preamp tube type (12AX7’s) for ease of servicing.

At a powerful 100 watts, the value of the MT 100 well exceeds its price tag. It is a straightforward, powerful amp full of aggression and articulation, and the onboard effects loop means your pedals are welcome to join the party. Please note: Mind your master…volume that is. On the Overdrive and especially on the Lead channel, keep the Master down to start. On the Lead Channel, keep the Master below 10 o’clock to avoid dangerous volumes!

Q: What is the purpose of the added metal shield near the power transformer?
A: It blocks hum generated in the transformer from projecting into the Lead channel preamp tubes, reducing background hum. It can be unscrewed from the back
of the amp to access those tubes if needed (for changing). It is important to always re-install afterwards.
Q: Can I use EL34 tubes in my MT 100?
A: No, those tubes require twice the filament current as 6L6GCs and could overheat the power transformer.
Q: Can I use other footswitches to change channels?
A: No, the footswitch circuitry is specific to the MT 100 and only the included footswitch can be used.
Q: Can I substitute preamp tubes on the MT 100?
A: I would advise not to, as these have been selected and specified for greatest reliability, lowest noise, best tone and least internal crosstalk.
Q: Is the bias adjustable?
A: Yes, with convenience bias ports like other fixed-bias PRS amps.
Q: What can I do to minimize effects loop noise?
A: Since the loop is always active in the MT 100 circuit, any noise generated by using the loop is typically due to the cables or the effects pedals. To minimize cable
noise, gather the send and return cables closely together (physically) and move them away from the power transformer and power cable side of the amp. Premium
cables also make a big difference in minimizing noise. Other noises can be generated by pedal power supplies and ground loops, but these solutions can be more
complex and there is much information available online to help in these instances.
Q: Why is there background hiss on the Lead channel with the master turned way up?
A: The master volume was also used to develop the gain and tone voicing of the MT 100 in that at “normal” useful settings, there is still series resistance between
it and the effects loop return circuit. This smooths the tone out nicely, etc. The master volume is not really meant to go above noon at most and is incredibly loud
at this setting (Mark’s concert setting is 11 o’clock). The background noise at levels below Mark’s concert setting is better-than-normal background hiss without a
noise gate.
Designer’s Note, Master Volume Controls
Clean Channel: Keep the Master Volume at noon to demo initially. Warms the tone and volume controls nicely.
Overdrive Channel: Keep the Master Volume down and raise slowly/with caution. Can reach dangerous volumes.
Lead Channel: Keep the Master Volume low always - no higher than 10 o’clock. The volume gets to dangerous levels above that, but it would have changed the tone
to adjust it.
